Officially unveiled today, the new Mercedes CLE Coupe has made some remarkable upgrades compared to the two models it is replacing, the C-Class Coupe and E-Class Coupe. Thankfully, the CLE Coupe has retained a V-6 engine instead of a 4-cylinder like some had feared.

CLE Coupe Engine Options
The CLE Coupe does have a 4-cylinder option, HOWEVER, you can also option a 3.0L twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder. The twin-turbo V6 is reported to put out 375 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The 2.0 four-cylinder option will pump out 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Both engines will have a mild hybrid system.
The V6 and four-cylinder will both come mated to a nine-speed transmission and come standard with Mercedes-Benz 4Matic AWD system. Both vehicles will have an electronic limited top speed of 130mhph.
CLE Coupe DImensions
The CLE Coupe will retain the same wheelbase as the C-Class at 112.8 inches. However, the overall length of the vehicle has grown by 4 inches making the vehicle’s total length 191 inches.
CLE Coupe Suspension
The CLE Coupe is reportedly going to have multi-link rear axle construction while the front wheels will contain 4 links per wheel. You will be able to option a stiffer suspension setup on the four-cylinder, however this stiffer setup comes standard on the AMG and six-cylinder variations.

CLE Coupe Exterior Design
After being officially unveiled today and getting some new press release photos, it’s safe to say that the CLE Coupe is one of the handsomest vehicles int the Mercedes’ lineup currently.
With slimmer headlights, a simpler DRL setup, and aggressive body lines, this thing looks mean. The rims that were present on the CLE Coupe are brilliant. They’re gaudy, large and blacked out. I think they fit this vehicle perfectly and once again I am reminded of how amazing Mercedes’ stock wheels are.
CLE Coupe Interior Design
The interior of the CLE Coupe will borrow many components from the C-Class, including the 12.3-inch digital center console display and 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster.
The seats are quite an upgrade over the C-Class, however. The images show a gorgeous tan leather, speakers incorporated into the headrests of each seat, and side door panels carrying over the same leather from the seats. Each CLE will come standard with the always impressive Burmester premium audio system.
2024 CLE Coupe Release Date
Barring any setbacks, the CLE Coupe is due to go on sale in early 2024. I’m not sure if the CLE Cabriolet will be released at the same time as the CLE Coupe or if it will release later in 2024.
